She is the 19th and current chief minister of Tamil Nadu. An astonishing discovery, she was the 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th and 19th chief minister of Tamil nadu, only women to hold chief minister office and first for such a long duration. She is the general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, a party is which is ruling the state. Before entering into politics, she was a well renowned actress of south film industry. She has acted on 140 films in various Languages like tamil, telgu and Kannada. She is still considered to be the most prolific and most versatile actress this side of film industry has ever seen, her elegant dance moves were a delight to watch have quoted many of her past admirers. She has received various awards as an actress and even honorary doctorate other honours , beginning from university of Madras 1991.

After months of courtroom struggle, the women came out clean handed and regained her place as the chief minister of the state.Amma has great followers in her political area,i.e. Tamil nadu.
From past few years, Jayalalitha has been troubled with some health issues. The certain cardiac attack has all his supporters stunned and in prayers, but she has always came one foot in front of all the hurdles.
